What can you do to protect your rights, the rights of others and the rights of children and future generations, SPEAK UP NOW. By doing nothing you are Essentially agreeing with what the government is doing. By Speaking out out and letting Your Voice be heard you are letting the Government and others know that what they are doing is wrong. There is also the snowball effect that those who speak out in the beginning create. They help give those who fear reprisal the strength to speak out. Those who wish to strike out against you are cowards and will only do so if they perceive you as weak. Speaking out demonstrates to them you are not weak, they will move on to easier targets. Lets not leave them any targets. NOW is the time to Speak. SB10 and the AWA has go beyond to far. New laws are being introduced everyday all across the country. Additionally, the precedents they set are being used to remove rights form other unfavorable groups all in the name of a justifiable governmental interest. The Constitution was intended to protect against these very Government actions or interest. Speak Up Now, you may have no right to live or work where you want to let alone enjoy your right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Senate Bill 10 (SB10) (Ohio's Adam Walsh Act) and Senate Bill 97 (SB97) has many changes in the house from the Senate version. A few of the changes are they moved 2950.031 to 2950.034 concerning residency restrictions. They added preschools and daycares. For an interesting report on this subject click here. Also added are things like registrants now must register email addresses and phone numbers. Finally, SB 97 was also passed (on the same day as SB10) concerning 2950.99 and punishments for failure to register. It is now the same felony level to violate any registration requirements as the most serious sexual offense that was basis for the registration requirement. What can you do. First join one of the groups listed under the links section if you can. No one group is supported more of less by this site, they all have their unique place in the fight that benefits all registrants. There are several and new ones being created everyday. There is a group that supports just about anyone's goals concerning these laws. One point I would like to insist on is that even is someone or a group is not doing something the right way or your way, do not alienate them or that group. Work together and learn from and with them on the issues that further your goals and never work against them. We need unity above all else, divided we will have no rights in this country in the future. We are a very small part of the population and need no more weakening of our views.
The courts are the only realistic hope presently, until the public is turned to reason. Right now and in the next few months Common Pleas Judges all across Ohio are making decisions concerning SB10, the AWA, who community notification applies to and in some cases Tier levels for those who filed challenges, and even the Constitutionally of the law in general. Thousands of challenges are likely to be filed. There is some hope here. Many of these Judges will not have the courage to rule SB10 and Chapter 2950 unconstitutional on a registrant's word alone. There are many independent voices out there in opposition to registration and even more so community notification. The Human Rights Watch (HRW) titled, "No Easy Answers: Sex Offender Laws in the United States,” is and very strong independent voice. Judges in Ohio need to hear this voice. So that place it to have a copy of this report sent to every Common Pleas, Appellate, and Supreme Court Judge in Ohio. This is where you come in. By paying for a copy of the HRW report to be sent to judges or one judges if that is all you can afford. In the next couple days there is will be a list of the judges (about 325 of the, 275 are common pleas) who have already had a report sent to them published. This is so we do not one Judges 10 reports that will get on their nerves and to ensure that every Judge in Ohio get one copy. The details. If you wish to send a copy to a Judge email this address (feedback@blueshifthome.com) with the Judge's name you would like to send a copy to and your name. I will keep a confidential list off line. There will be a online list to shown what Judges are already taken or not with no personal information. Within one day you will get a return email with the required links to the HRW, the Judge's mailing address, and instructions on how to precede. We do not want to email them, they need hard copies. Pricing breaks are being worked out, more details will be posted as they develop. Currently the reports are $11 to $16, and a 10% price break can be applied to that if you order a certain way, details will be in your confirmation email. Once you have paid for the copy you will need to send another email stating you had it send. Then the Judge will be marked on the list. If the Judge you want is taken I will mark you as and alternate for that one and once the Judge is either sent a copy or the person's time expires I will inform you so you can send to another Judge or that one. The Judges will be placed in Tiers (I could not resist). Common Pleas Judges in Tier I, Appellant Judges in Tier II, and Supreme Court Justices in Tier III. I suggest that if your Judge or all the ones in your county are taken that you next try the next Tier, a Appellate Judges for your county, or a Supreme Court Justice if they are all taken. After that I will have a list of the Judges that have been determined as a high need to receive this report you can pick from. Ohio is the battleground for the AWA. Even if your not form Ohio you can help. With Ohio being one of the first if not the first state to attempt to comply with the AWA the precedents will be set In Ohio. Ohio Court decisions and opinions will effect the laws already passed, being proposed, or will have to be introduced to comply or lose federal money. That said, what happens in Ohio Courts in the next few months or couple years will effect you sooner or later. For other ways to help click here. THE LIST If the Judge is Red they are considered the highest priority, Yellow is Secondary, and White is normal. If you have any info on why a Judge is a higher priority please pass it on, being your judge alone is not a good reason. The Judges needs to be some risk or hope to be considered a higher priority. Any Judge that speaks out in the media for or against SB10 or AWA needs a copy.
